Merry Christmas Folks!

I hope you all have a fab day tomorrow, whatever you are doing. The usual lap top has now been fixed so my next post should be full of pics - HOORAH!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, for your lovely comments and the support over the past couple of months since I started this. I have met some wonderful people, some true friends and I am constantly in awe of the things people create. Some of you have made me cry, some have made me laugh, some have made me spit tea whilst laughing and crying at the same time. (And one of you has made me almost wee myself when I was a bit desperate for a wee in the first place, but was tryng to hang on for a bit longer).

I'll see you again soon, hopefully rested and raring to go again, and not 3 stone heavier than today after eating all the food I've bought (why have I bought 3 loaves of bread - I'm not having sandwiches at any point over Christmas? Panic buying, methinks, the shops do close for one whole day)

And can we now have a collective fingers crossed and please please please for snow tomorrow.......ready, one two three..............WISH FOR SNOW!!!!!!

a very, very happy day!

No pics - my usual computer has broken (thanks to Warren who hit it, and it now makes strange whirring noises)

ANYWAY - my exciting news;

1:: Grace passed (with a merit) her Grade One Drum Exam, so Phil Collins and the one armed one from Def Leppard can move over - my little girl is going to be the new one to watch!!!!!

2:: Clothkits is coming back, and with it a new and updated Kitty doll. For those of you that don't know what Clothkits is/was, it was a sew your own company very, very popular in the 1970s and 80s that made quite easy kits for mums (or dads - but probably mums) to make their own clothes, kids clothes and accessories. My mum was mad for it and I was a clothkits kid. Kitty was my doll (a pre printed kit that you cut out, sewed and stuffed). She had all sorts of different clothes. But she died, after being washed too many times in Mum's twin tub washer with biological powder that rotted her away (Tiffany brown, my other favourite doll made by my nursey school teacher also died this way, and Piglet, my mostest favourite bear that looks a bit like Piglet from Winnie the Pooh made from an old war time utility blanket has had to be patched up over the years many many times)

So, roll on next year when I can get my eager paws on a new Kitty. I am just really hoping she isn't too trendy, that would kill me........PLEASE Mrs Clothkits, don't put her in a slogan t-shirt, or knee high boots, or flared jeans with a fancy trim. Her old patterned dress will do just fine, something with a few hippy swirls and birds on maybe, for old time's sake.

More Shopping...and A Lavender/Rice Bag

So yesterday was the last craft fair of the year, and I did a bit more last minute shopping for christmas there. Here are some of the things I bought (I did buy more actually but they were for my friend to give to her kids)......

Poppy Treffrey style notebooks for 2 friends...

A little car canvas for Leo...

A crayon bag for Leo.... (a bit unessecary as he has a pencil roll for christmas already - but I thought it was cute....Warren says it is far too girly for a boy, but he can shut up!)
Neither of these stalls sold online - I can't believe there are still people that just do constant craft fairs. It's cold, it's wet, people poke about at your stuff and make a mess of your stall. Much nicer to sit here and chat to you lot and hope to grab the occasional sale!!!!

Then I made a lavender and rice filled bag for my friend's birthday (as requested by her). It is quite big - about 8 inches wide, and a bit taller. She had wanted something that looked like a sack, with a removable bag to heat in the microwave. So this is what I came up with. I hope she likes it!!!! It works too - I tried it out (hiding from the microwave in case it blew up!) I mixed half rice with half lavender, and it is really quite strong smelling so the scent should last for a good while.

And finally, some of the fabric my wonderful husband brought home from New York the other week. I think he did rather well - the only one I requested was the tape measure one (building blocks by American Jane). He told me that Purl Patchwork in SoHo was like my idea of heaven. Maybe next time I can go with him........

I have more pics of more things I've been making - but the light is so rubbish today in my house I have given up....and I need something else to blog later in the week!

I'm off out tonight for a mexican (a meal - I'm not having an affair) with some friends I met online that are all local. Isn't the internet a wonderful place? :)

no pics, just a quick hello!!!!!!

I will take pics, hopefully tomorrow if the light is ok. I did my last craft fair of the year today - HOORAH!!!!!!!!!! And I forgot to take a few things this time, not just the camera (which I forgot - again), I forgot a chair to sit on, and some drinks and snacks. Oh well. Never mind, it's over and done with now!

I did ok today, much much better than the previous school christmas fairs, and I sold 3 toys - WHOO!!!!, so that's a bonus. And I did some Christmas shopping too, a couple of the stalls were fab fab fab...so I will take the pics tomorrow!!!!

Oh, and I sold 2 sets of lavender bags yesterday on Etsy - a set of mice and some russian dolls. I have been totally ignoring etsy for ages, and finally got round to listing a couple of bits. I need to get more organised and do more in the new year...that's my new year's resolution (that and stop buying fabric)

Volunteers for Rescue Mission Required

Has anyone seen this??????? Now, I have warned her over at Monkeemaker that if she continues to torture that poor 007, I'll get in my car and drive down to the end of country (near enough) to rescue him. I have reckoned it will take me at least 4 hours to get there, so I need some help......if you own a balaclava and/or ninja suit/black cat suit (maybe left over from clubbing in the early '90s) and are close to Monkee Towers, can you get there before me, lock her in that cupboard and I'll meet you there as quick as I can......that poor monkee needs saving. She even rations his beer, can you believe it????????????????

DON'T WORRY 007, I'M COMING FOR YOU, BE BRAVE!!!!!!!!
