Back from Hols...with NEW SHOES!

We had a fantastic week, the weather was gorgeous, the house we stayed in had amazing views, a lovely pool, and big gardens full of Olive trees. We even had a lady called Delia cook for us every night. It was wonderful. Even the little ginge didn't burn - which was something of a miracle (thank you lavera sun cream - I shall buy you again!)
Despite being an hour from Florence, and just 20 minutes from Sienna, we did nothing, just lazed about like lizards and relaxed. It was blissful.

And, as it's Monday, these are my new shoes....

Actually, they are not from Italy (they were made there, but are from Mulberry) but after a whole week in the sunshine without so much of a sniff of a shop I had to go shopping yesterday and buy some new shoes. Sensible, flat, lace ups for the winter. Oh, what's that you say? Suede? Yes, totally impractical for the horrible wet English weather. I suppose I'll just be wearing them inside then....

Great to have you back! And it does sound like you had a good time :-)
Love love love the suede shoes. The remark about wearing them inside made me LOL! I bought a pair of teal suede high heel boots two years ago....not easy keeping them looking pretty :-)

Sounds like a perfect holiday doing absolutely nothing.
Pretty shoes, just give them a squirt of waterproofing and they'll be fine.

We were near Siena and Florence too! But like you spent most of the time lazing by the pool. Seriously fabulous shoes! Great colour!

Very nice winter shoes :) Or maybe that should be 'British summer' shoes!!!

Sounds and looks like bliss. The shoes are a gorgeous colour - who cares if suede is no good in the rain. You can always wear wellies out and then change into them!

Completely impratical shoes, but who cares!
They are purple, they are suede and they are new. Gorgeous.
Glad you had a good holiday.

Welcome back. Delia sounds great this is my ideal holiday someone cooking, I get so over dinner day after day after day. Sometimes it feels like groundhog day when it comes to cooking the evening meal. Must get me one of those Delia's on my next holiday. Great shoes!

I had almost identical shoes. Identical except for the fact they were bright, bright orange. Well, it was the 80's. LOL

Have nominated you for blog award, details at mine. :)
