Sorry Mum...

I know you hate to see my tattoos, but here's another one to make your stomach churn. I know you won't even be able to bring yourself to say it's pretty, but it is. Really, it's very pretty, you're just a bit crazy (good job i love you x)

And for everyone else, and not my mum - do you like my new ink? It's only half done, I need to have the underside of my arm done and a few gaps filled in between this one, the underside and the old tattoo on my upper arm. 'Sew or Die' just about sums it up, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't sew, it doesn't bear thinking about.

Nice new ink. (found you on Kitty's site. I have a collection on my back. All important, all significant to something in my life. Three on my back and one on top of my left foot.

I need an ink fest soon.

Again, lovely design, very well done.

Nice ink. I love tatoos, my mom hasn't really said anything about mine (I AM 36, and only have two, but still). My dd and I got matching tatoos on her 18th birthday. I feel the need for another one...soon...

nice new ink... and I may get something sometime.. if I'm brave and have somone to hold my hand... the cowardly lion has nothing on me when it comes to needles.. though maybe if one of the lovely guys from Miami Ink were doing a tatton on my I might be brave!

Fab!!
I'm going to get one more...on my foot...or possibly 2 more as I want my partners name on my ring finger after we get married in March (but that doesn't count as 1 surely?!?)
My mum doesn't like but sensibly says nowt!!

If I had a tattoo, I would get *this* one! It's just spectacular! Thanks for sharing.

Oh I like very much. Do you have posts about your other ones?

Very nice, great design, I have one tattoo on my leg, which I got myself as a 30th birthday present - figuring it was now or never and now I want another one!!!

I'll say it again: Love it! One of mine--very small--has a color scheme from Amy Butler's 2nd fabric collection. :-) I took a stack of her fabric to the tattoo shop.

very brave (runs off feeling all squeamish and pathetic)

well you can't fault your dedication to the cause, but what happens if you go off sewing?
I suppose you could always change the 'e' in sew to an 'o' and pretend you are an avid gardener.

Do I sound like your mum? 'It's lovely dear!'

unique ink.... awesome!!

I think it's lovely! No offense to your mom but it is pretty! Tattoos are very addicting. It's easy to keep getting more. Tell Apryl you'll old her hand while she gets a tattoo! Then make her show us pictures!

Ooh you're crazy!! Looks great!

Wow! Fabulous detail! You obviously have an eye for design there Missus (figuring that the nice people at the tattoo place don't actually have such an outline there waiting to be chosen......)

I just love it Katy! Good for you

You know, I never had you down as an ink kinda lady. I don't know why. I suspect my nappy-addled brain associates sewing ladies with being old fashioned and "proper" - which is bizarre, because I'm a sewing lady, and I'm not the least bit old fashioned, nor proper and I have three tattoos....but not one of them is as cool as this one. LOVE IT ;)

I love it! What an awesome design. I have 4, but haven't had a new one for over 10 years. DH reckons I should get the Bernina symbol for my next one. (and my Mum has 4 as well)

Wow - I always wanted a little bumble bee and never had the nerve. That's an inky stunner.

BTW can you send me the link to that fab shop in that London that sells Liberty offcuts and remnants. It was in a post of yours a few months ago but, like a 'nana I can't find it.

It's bloomin gorgeous! Did you design it yourself? Don't have any myself (too chicken) but our nephew is a tattoo artist and has loads of talent and gorgeous tattoos.

Oh my good lord above!
You actually sat there and let them do all of that to you! It must have killed!!!!
And you have to have more (faints)

I'd never be brave enough to have one.
Well if I was unconcious or heavily sedated, then maybe.

Hee hee - I think I'm like your Mum - it's lovely :-)

I totally agree with the semtiment by the way!!

Moogsmum said...

Good job I'm not a tattooist - I meant to say 'sentiment' of course!!

Not easy to cross out spelling mistakes on tattoos I imagine...
