So Mr. Postman popped by today, as he does on a regular basis, with some parcels.....
This one was a complete surprise - I'd seen the bag on Lins' flickr page last week and thought to myself 'I should make a bag like that, it's so lovely'. Well, no need - it's MINE. And today the sun is shining, so it's perfect. My head feels better just looking at it.
He also brought a pin cushion/catch all box from Jean, who I was paired with in a pin cushion swap. It's got 2 packs of clover pins in there too - 2 packs! I am a sucker for clover pins, they might be pricey but they are VERY sharp. The box made me happy, I was very excited by it, but then to open it and find pins inside. The squeak that came out of my mouth was quite something.
I haven't been completely bed ridden. I made some coasters to go with my quilt for the doll quilt swap...
and I bought a doll bed for Ginger's dinosaurs and power rangers...but someone else seems to think it's his...

love the tote bag, its gorgeous... I know nothing about shaps pins but the box looks great. *snickers at lazy kitty on the doll's bed* where ever will the little dinos sleep?
Oh poor Katy & Ginger ... I do sympathise .
More than you might imagine because a certain daughter has arrived home from the UK with what we were sure was the very same swine flu !!
Now I am also afflicted but am taking large doses of white wine in order beat this thing .

Sorry to hear you're ill but at least you have fabric/bags/pins to compensate. Loving that furry kitty!
Hope you both soon feel better! Maybe it was all that mail from all around the world that gave you this mystery flu. At least my fabric came from a swine flu-free country!
Hugs, me and the smallest are both brewing a cold too I think. He is certainly in the snotty and coughing camp and my glands are up and my head stuffed. Love the cat in the bed, mine would love that too !
We've all had the snotters this past week too - first No.2, then me, then No.1. Horrid. Just horrid. Hope you feel much better soon.
Parcel loveliness like that is sure to help - and I'm sorry, I know the bed was for Ginger's toys, but that bed just suits the cat!

Hope you feel better soon. We have a big grey cat that looks a lot like yours. She also sleeps on her back like a dog. It is so funny so see another cat that looks like our Josie doing one of the things that makes us laugh every time we see it.
I have had some health issues this week and missed work almost all week! The picture of the cat cracked me up & made me feel better!

I LOVE that bag and the coasters, and am a huge fan of clover pins too, they are just the best, I think once you've used them nothing else will do.
That bed was made for the kitty, look how comfy he/she is. :-)

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly - we aren't too flash at this end either. But the rain dictates a lazy day indoors sewing - YAY! I LOVE the tote - I have had something similar roaming around in my head for months - too bad I never have the time to create them ....maybe today? Although I do believe there is pink and green fabric to play with and some pink trees to sew! How funny is that cat!
