I'm digressing...a cat can have that effect on me.
I wanted to show you this....
I spent last night quilting it, simply, just in the ditch. I trimmed it down, tidied it up....
and now I've sewn the binding on. Tonight's TV task will be stitching it on to the back. And trying not to sit at a funny angle, because my back is hurting from sewing the binding on to the rocket quilt.
And once that is done it's on to another WIP. My quilt blocks from the sewconnected2 quilting bee need to be turned into a quilt for my bedroom. I was going to sash them, but I rather like how they look all together. I have the border fabric sorted, and I think I've settled on the layout. Maybe 2 borders would be nice. I want it to be quite busy, so once I've sewn the blocks together I can decide which 2 fabrics for the border and corner stones. And then I'll send it off to Christine to quilt it. I might go all out and have it custom quilted rather than one all over design. We'll see. Christine is the wise one, I'll let her decide what looks best.
My sis in law has found out she's having a little baby girl, so it looks like the liberty prints will be turned into something quilty after all. Hooray.

You think stray white cat is after your love and affection..well yes probably but she has her eyes on the prize too.....a home with lots of eye-wateringly tasty quilty concoctions!!!!
I have to take a deep breath now...that liberty quilt...are you really sure you want to keep it?????...really..are you sure....
gotta ♥ the cat ladies of the world.
cute 9 patch quilt. that border is too cute!!!
and i am loving that sewconnected2 quilt.
congrats on being an auntie!!!
great quilt - but loving the shoes!!
You've been busy! I'm with Aneela--I don't really think you want to keep the Liberty quilt. Really. You don't. I think that cat just wants to get at the Liberty...
That nine-patch is just terrific. If you have to choose, you keep the cat and send ME the quilt.
*sigh* Kiddie wanted a white cat when we got our 2 but we were told they are hard to come by and usually blind/deaf/deforemd in some way. Nice!
Loving the quilts. Wish I could get motivated to finish quilting my hexagons but they are such a PITA!! Wish I'd random randon lines or something NOT in the ditch. Grr.
btw If you want to see pics of me dancing there are quite a few on my Flickr. Wildly glamorous and attractive...NOT!
sweet little kitty! Love your quilr!!!!
it's hard not to give in when a cat is that nice to you...we usually have that kind of problem here too. But we just can't take any other cat in...
I love your new banner!!
I absolutely looove the white sashing in your quilt. It is lovely all quilted up. Good job! Thanks for your sweet comments about Mr. Hive. I think/hope you are right . . . a little better everyday.
I love your 9 patch! So cute!
The quilt looks fantastic! Can't wait to see what binding you go with. Good luck with that...it's my LEAST favourite part.
FAB banner love!!!
Love the quilt - it's just so great!!!
I completely understand about the cat. Wonderful how they just turn up and adopt you. I returned one cat to it's owner three times before I gave up and it just stayed :) They always win! I love that sewconnected2 quilt. Gorgeous!
ooooh! I love how you're putting the sampler blocks together without sashing - it makes it look so old and rich. I'm going to try that next - huh, I guess that means I'll have to make another sampler :-)
Hey you!
You've been tagged - see my blog for details
xx
There seem to be cats everywhere in Blogland. So cute.
Your quilt is amazing, I've never tried it because it looks so complicated...really admire it....
Congratulations on being an aunty!
Oooh, I'm loving the new banner. I'm also loving that quilt - so very pretty. You are in a super-industrious phase at the moment Mrs Monkey - so much goodness happening here! x
Another cute quilt. How do you whip through these so quickly Katy? Where does one send a quilt off to get quilted. That doesn't sound right does it!? I must make my daughter's quilt before she's old enough to leave home and resent me forever for making too many things for other people instead of her ;) If I could get that end hard part done elsewhere it might spur me on. Please tell me Katy, the quilting goddess.
sweet kitty
i really like your nine patch. adorable fabrics.
