cheaty free motion looking wiggly line quilting

It's not new, it's not clever, it's just easy. I did a little how to over on the Fat Quarterly blog. You can find it here. (thanks to my quilting hero and guru - Amy for showing me how to a couple of years ago).

Ps - for those of you that wanted to know what the fabrics were in this quilt. It's a mix of 2 jelly rolls of American Jane's Recess (mostly) and Look and Learn (a little bit).

Wow thanks for the tip Katy! I need to bust out a couple of quilts fast and I'm sick of stippling so this may be just what I needed to hear today!

I do this, too! It's my go-to anymore. I learned it in a machine quilting class at the LQS.

Victoria of the Silly Boodilly does a lot of quilting this way- she makes it look so perfect!

That looks great - that style of quilting works so well with those fabrics. Thanks for the how to over at FQ, I am very scared of quilting.. which is why my first ever quilt is still not sewn together..

Great wiggly quilting. I learned that trick awhile back...fabulous if you want the machine to do the thinking!

I love the wiggle, I think I will have to find a walking foot to start experimenting with machine quilting.
