It's time for my third project for Art Gallery Fabrics Fat Quarter Gang.

I really adore Art Gallery fabrics - I think that's pretty clear, and I'm so excited for the fabrics coming this year...
Fabrics like Luxe in Bloom by Sarah Watson, Carnaby Street by Pat Bravo, Bijoux by Bari J, and Color Me Retro by Jeni Baker to name just a few. I think 2013 is going to be a huge year for Art Gallery Fabrics, I am really excited to make a whole heap of quilts as the year goes on and I'm positive a lot of those quilts will be made using Art Gallery fabrics, the feel of the fabric is unlike anything else and when they're quilted they feel even more amazing. But they sew and quilt just like regular quilting cottons - not like a slippery voile or cotton lawn.

I think you picked the perfect fabric for this purse. I was at Sewing Summit this year and took a similar clasp purse class. The only other thing that I would add to your excellent tutorial is to make sure, as you begin gluing the fabric into the frame, that you have the frame bending the right way (so it will close). Otherwise, you might end up with a lovely purse that does not close! Ask me how I know. :-). Hugs, Cathy in Planet Utah

I love Art Gallery Fabrics too, but it's hard to find over here in NZ, my favourite quilt store had some, but aren't getting more as it didn't sell; what is wrong with people? I love the quality, the colours and the prints, I bought quite a bit of what they had.

I once used a art gallery fq bundle for a quilting bee. Unfortunately I gave out unclear measurement, why all blocks I got back where different sizes. Bummer!!! Maybe I got a second chance with some new art gallery fabrics.
