back to school

Last week was half term and I was pretty unproductive, this week the kids are back at school and I'm raring to go. It's also my lovely husbeast's 40th birthday today. 40. Crikey. How'd that happen? So we're off for dinner with the family tonight (we don't go in for parties much, either of us)

I've posted on the Sizzix blog, so go and check that out and let me know if I can answer any Sizzix related questions or help you out with anything.

This stack of beauties from the sale section at Pink Castle Fabrics is going to be binding by the end of the day. Oh yes it is.

bindings in progress

Now, please excuse me - I have sewing to do in the delightful peace and quiet now that those kids have gone back to school.

(ps - I've had it with spam comments, so I've set comments to registered users only. You don't need a blog, just some kind of account whether it's open ID, blogger, wordpress etc etc. We'll see how that works.)

What is that brilliant yellow (lime?) print with the black sticks?

Happy stitching! I'm off out for the day, so it's binding this evening and my diva will be home tomorrow :)

Snap on the kids! Yeah! Lovely binding to be - is there a quilt to go with or are you just getting ready?

I had the same problem, and when I set my blog to registered users, all the spam disappeared up it's own £$%&.

I've been lurking for a while, and specially like your "What's New, British Pussycat posts, as I'm in the UK.

Enjoy the peace - I've swapped to Registered commenters too - spammers have been working ape-sh*t overtime!!

Interesting to make a bunch of bindings at once! I usually pick out fabric, make the top, let it sit around for a while, realize I do have batting, figure out a backing, let it sit around more, quilt it, and only after all of that do I figure out and make the binding! LOL

I need to do that...just make a bunch of binding. I think it would be very satisfying. Happy Birthday to your Mr.

Have fun with your binding day!! I'll be curious to read if your fight against all the spam works! It's really off the charts bad right now. I've even been thinking of putting the comment moderation thing back on, boo!

Hope you all enjoyed your celebration dinner. Great fabrics for bindings so hope you had a productive sewing day too. Do you still have your Studio? It hasn't been mentioned for some while.

I love a polka dot myself.

I've not had too much trouble with spammers on my blog. Twitter is different. I get all kinds of gross russian men and women that want to be my friend. Ick. Love the fabrics.

Happy belated birthday to your man. Mine turned 40 in the fall and it made ME feel old! But we celebrated well and that counts, right?
