So what is new?
There's a new girl in town...in other words, a new shop on the weekly round up, so say hi to Chelsea from Bobbie Lou's Fabric on etsy.
Chelsea has a really awesome eye for fabrics that are a little different. Fabrics like this amazing Alexander Henry print (find it and others from the same range here). I really need to get a bunch of yardage of this to back a quilt with - isn't it out of this world good?!
I first came across her store after Rashida (as in I heart Linen) made a bag at Camp Stitchalot back in May using this zebra print. Chelsea had it in stock, I bought a heap of it. I've had it stashed for an emergency ever since (I'm thinking I need to make a dress with it).
So who is Chelsea and what is Bobbie Lou's all about?
'Bobbie Lou's Fabric Factory is inspired by and named after my Grandmother, Bobbie Lou. She was an amazing seamstress and spent most of her free time sewing clothes, dolls, and other beautiful items for her daughters and grandchildren. She handmade every single one of my "fancy" holiday dresses growing up as well as countless other treasured items that I hope to one day pass on to my own children.
Grandma Bobbie would be in fabric heaven in my little shop! She would be amazed at the beautiful fabrics available today and the ease of being able to buy them online rather than going to the fabric store.

Christmas is coming fast, and I like to play outside the box with my Christmas colours sometimes. I know this bundle from Cuts of Cotton isn't a Holiday theme, but I just love the zingy colours and think it'd make a great table runner or tree skirt
This bundle of stash building beauties from Sew me a Song is right at the top of my Christmas wish list
This crochet print from Sew Fresh Fabrics is making me squeal. I want to wear it, back quilts with it, and cover my walls in it.
This print is also squeal worthy
And lastly, head on over to the Aurifil blog and read up on Pat Bravo. She's a fascinating lady and incredibly passionate about what she does. Her interview is well worth a read!
